Once Upon A Time In Mumbai…
My story began in the commercial capital of India, where I was born and raised until the age of 12. Mumbai is ground zero and despite the hustle, Mumbai is the one place that will forever be my first love. #MumbaiRules!
Life got interesting when I went to boarding school to complete my high school education. For the first time, I was on my own. It was time for me to figure out big adult-things like friendships and laundry. At a very early age, I was beginning to realize the importance of picking my battles and the power of kindness.
Dubai, The City of Life and Shopping!
Every summer I would fly to Dubai to enjoy my vacation with my family. The ninety days that my mom and I spent together every year were pivotal for our relationship as BFFs.
We’d play board games, camp out in the concrete jungles most people like to call malls and go for long (and I mean really long) walks. We would rent DVDs, hang out at parks, and eat lots of ice cream. For me, summer was just another word for a very fun date with my best friend.
Bienvenue à Vancouver!
After graduating high school, my mom and I moved to the beautiful city of Vancouver. A new life in a brand new part of the world has been an exciting experience. This is my new comfort place, the place I call home. Everything about Vancouver amazed me, and continues to do so! Here, the people are kind, the weather is adventurous and life is utterly creative.
Life is what we make of it. I don’t know what future has in store for me, but I’m dedicated to living a healthy, happy, and heartening life.
Me, Today
Well, some things never change. Today, I’m the same goof I was 20 years ago. I dance in my room when I am tired and practice yoga when I’m excited. Apparently, I have two left feet, which is why I am constantly at war with carpets, floors, walls, staircases and glass doors.
Although, I did grow up a little and enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Simon Fraser University where professors tried their best to teach me about publishing and communication. Now, I work full time as a digital marketing professional and continue to follow my passion for all things Digital Marketing. In my free time, I manage my mom’s Etsy shop, Soham Handicrafts, and offer content creation and personal branding services (freelance).
I have other offline hobbies as well such as singing and swimming. I am a self-taught amateur mixologist and a talented dreamer. It’s safe to say, even without a Wi-Fi connection, I am never bored.
