I’m a marketing and communications professional with over seven years of experience in various industries. Over the years, through many amazing opportunities, I’ve developed my skills in:
- Digital marketing (paid and organic social, search engine marketing and optimization)
- Email marketing (templates and content)
- Content strategy, planning and creation
- Writing and editing (newsletters, feature article, profile pieces)
- Event planning and marketing
- Graphic design and website maintenance
Most recently, I did a one year stint in a sales role (due to personal reasons). This job shifted the focus of my career from marketing to business development which has expanded my skill set. Sales go hand-in-hand with marketing and while it’s been an eye-opening experience, it’s also helped me gain new perspectives as a marketer. I’m now ready to get back into the field I love and reenter the workforce as a marketing professional.
In previous positions, I helped plan and implement comprehensive communications plans that included digital and traditional marketing campaigns for fundraising, product promotion and special events. These strategies included keywords research and search engine optimization, social media management and marketing, setting up and executing an email marketing calendar, templates and list segmentation, preparing brand standards guide, interviewing stakeholders to create compelling content for blogs and videos, and designing event collateral such as brochures, posters and web advertisements. Content research, data mining and metric analysis have also played a significant part.
I am proficient in managing multiple websites, social media accounts, and content calendars. As an intermediate-level designer, I have experience in designing both print and web ads, brochures, posters, web banners, feedback reports, interactive forms and PowerPoint presentations.
Outside of work, you’ll find me working with clay in my studio or swimming. I also love travelling. Most recently I had the pleasure of exploring Nice, London, and Prague (where I finally fell in love with beer!)
